The Desmond is a courtyard style newer construction condominium (yb 2002) with Mediterranean architecture located in the Norma Triangle neighborhood of West Hollywood. The majority of the condos are townhouses that feel like a house. There are 62 units total, making this a medium to large size condo building. HOA dues are very low. The Desmond has modern floor plans with open kitchen and living rooms, large master bedrooms suites. Desmond condos are pretty much turn key.
The Desmond has a prime West Hollywood location that is walkable to the intersection of Santa Monica and San Vicente. The property is on a gently sloping incline. San Vicente is very wide, so you get a lot of separation between the two sides of the street.
San Vicente is considered a busy street, but I have never seen traffic backed up. The West Hollywood fire station #7 is right across the street, although I love the architecture of the firestation, this can be noisy when I fire truck responds to an emergency. But if god forbid there is ever a fire in the building, you can bet the fire department will have a one minute response time!
With the Desmond condos, you get all that great shopping, dining and entertainment that West Hollywood is known for and close proximity to Beverly Hills, Miracle Mile, and the Sunset Strip.
Two of the oldest buildings in West Hollywood are nearby on San Vincente- the San Vicente Inn and ADD, part of the Sherman thematic district. The West Hollywood park and Library are close, as well as the Pacific Design Center, West Hollywood Pavilions. If you do have kids, you’re in luck. West Hollywood Elementary is conveniently located one block north along San Vicente. In addition, Fairfax Senior High School, for which the district is zoned, is just a short drive away.
