 The Dorchester is a 16-story 108-unit high rise on the Wilshire Corridor in Westwood. Built-in 1989, By Michael Reyes of Urban Pacific, who developed the Mirabella 8 years earlier, Dorchester condos were constructed at a cost of $72M.

Vitro Architects (who also did Mirabella) designed The Dorchester in a distinctive postmodern style. I love the beautiful green marble in the motor court. The building has a rooftop swimming pool and four grand 6,000 sqft two-story penthouses.

All of the floorplans in The Dorchester are single-story except for the (4) penthouses which are townhouses. Stacks 01, 02, 07, 08 face Wilshire, Stacks 03, 04, 05, 06 face the back. Floorplans are a mix of 2 and 3 bedrooms. 2 bedrooms are 1,400 sqft. The 3 bedrooms range from 1,800 sqft to 2,000 sqft. Living Rooms have a gas fireplace.

The windows in the Dorchester are more traditional starting at waist level, this add more privacy and wall space for hanging things. No Balconies for these condos. Prices range from $900,000 to $1,000,000 for the 2 bedrooms and $1,100,000 to $1,350,000 for the 3 bedrooms. Condos have 9-foot ceilings. Every condo has a master bedroom suite with a Carrera marble master bathroom and walk-in closet.
