Empire West Condominiums
1100 Alta Loma Road
West Hollywood, CA 90069
Empire West is a 17-story West Hollywood Highrise (built in 1964) that offers residents white glove service and fabulous amenities. It’s one of the most luxurious and sumptuous High-rise buildings in West Hollywood. I love the feeling of Zen and peacefulness that the you get when entering the lobby from the indoor water feature. The building is easily to pick out in the West Hollywood skyline by its rounded rubber trees that peek over the edges from its rooftop lawn.
Alta Loma Road is a super-short dead end street that is only accessible from Holloway. Many a driver has been confounded at least once trying to turn off Sunset onto Alta Loma to bypass the steep downslope of La Cienega Blvd, just to find out that their way is blocked by a dead end! As an owner of 1100 Alta Loma- their frustration is your gain, because there is virtually no street traffic as a result.
Empire West’s nearby neighbors are the full service mid-rise Park Wellington, Alta Loma West (1134 Alta Loma), and Alta Loma Towers (1140 Alta Loma) as well as the exclusive Sunset Marquis hotel which has always been a private retreat for high profile celebrity and entertainment industry guests to stay while they are performing in town (The Sunset Marquis has two tour bus parking spaces).
Fitness minded residents will love the close proximity to Equinox on Sunset, highly regarded as one of the best gyms in town. There is also a plethora of great dinning options on Sunset Blvd, that range from outdoor seating cafe’s like Le Petit Four on Sunset Plaza, to uber chic Boa Steakhouse for fine dining, to more everyday restaurants like Poquito Mas or late night option Mel’s Dinner. There is a Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf at Sunset and Horn with good parking which is a great on your way to work pit stop, or try the Peet’s down the street for another good option.
For Groceries you will probably be going to the West Hollywood Pavilions- but for a quick shop, there is a Rite Aid and 7/11 at La Cienege and Halloway to stock up on short supplies, or to get that item you forgot to put on your list while grocery shopping. Don’t forget to swing by the Sunset Strip Farmers Market on Thursdays for fresh produce.
